Description
Truly the perfect gift for any wine lover.
A tradition of "beheading" a bottle of Champagne comes from the time of Napoleon. His soldiers, Hussards, when celebrating their victories, used to knock the top off the bottle with their sabre while they were on horseback. This tradition is performed almost daily at Klein Roosboom where we find any excuse to celebrate a special moment - from wedding parties to informal dinners.
A bottle of our Marné Brut MCC can be opened by giving to the bottleneck a strong knock with a sabre. The top of the neck will come off leaving the neck of the bottle open and ready to pour.
Be careful, the glass top is flaming sharp.
